My life in Portland, Oregon, began almost 30 years ago. An east coast transplant, I lived in Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, with stints in Greece, and Austria before coming to Portland.  Having visited some 380 cities, 20 countries on 4 continents,I like to consider myself as a woman of the world with a fairly balanced mindset. The photos you are about to see are of Portland, Oregon and environs. There is no sugar coating here, just the raw reality.  You should find some of these images beautiful, others compelling, and some perhaps a bit puzzling. I use very limited gear consisting of a digital pocket camera and an iPad. The camera is the waterproof Nikon Coolpix AW100, 5x optical Zoom-NIKKOR glass lens 28-140mm (35mm equivalent) and my iPad is a mini Apple iPad 16GB Wi-Fi.  Both are easy to use and conveniently small.
